Our Impact

 

• As a volunteer-driven, nonprofit organization, every dollar spent by SHORE/ICARE goes toward helping vulnerable families in Westchester County remain stably housed and on the road to financial independence. In 2022, SHORE:

• Provided 23 families (90+ individuals) with a clean, safe, and stable place to live. · Subsidized rent for 100% of families served to keep housing affordable and move families toward financial independence.

• Donated furniture and appliances to five families to help them settle in comfortably to their new homes.

• Offerd Case Management to 100% of tenants so they can understand and attain the services and supports they need to attain greater self-sufficiency, maintain their permanent housing, and perform valued roles in the community.

• Participated in over a dozen community meetings to advocate for the housing needs of families with low incomes. In 2023, we will expand our housing stock by developing two additional housing units.
